Mallei Vitrei pro Aedibus Vitreis, 1998 42 glass hammers (25cm each)

As shown at the exhibition GLASS new frontiers in contemporary glass at The Glasshouses, Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh 1998

Curated by Suzanne Dunn and David Mitchell, Organised by Keiko Mukaide and Suzanne Dunn

The Glass Hammers play with the paradox created by their role as incongruous fruit of self destruction, reflected both within the viewer when confronted with a fragile hammer, and in relation to the fragility of the glasshouse itself.
